What to do in a mental health emergency
- If there is immediate danger to life — call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. You can ask the 911 dispatcher for a CIT (Crisis Intervention Trained) officer, who is specifically trained for mental health situations.
- If you are in crisis but not in immediate danger — call or text 988, or call Arizona's crisis line at 1-844-534-HOPE. A trained specialist can help you stabilize and connect you to local resources, including mobile crisis teams that can come to you.
- If you are not in crisis but struggling — reach out to us. We offer timely appointments and can often see patients within days. Our secure patient portal is available for established patients between appointments.
- If you are supporting someone else — you can call any of these lines on behalf of another person. Stay calm, listen without judgment, and encourage them to call or go with them to get help.
